The research topic of the Department of Social Work is the development of innovative social work by actualizing interdisciplinarity in the context of creating social well-being.
- The areas of scientific interests of the lecturers working in the Department of Social Work are quite diverse, therefore the general direction of the research and scientific issues of the Department is formed in the context of the research topics of the Faculty of Health Sciences and the Research Centre for Health Research and Innovation Science. The three long-term research objectives are focused on three sub-topics (sub-programmes) identified by the faculty of the Department:
- Professionalisation and innovation in social work;
- Reducing social exclusion and social policy;
- Social risk groups and quality of life.
